about
Garret Crift approached me with a poem and asked me to write a song to it. Together we wrote a song, and I recorded a version with his vocals and one with mine. This is my adaptation of the song.
lyrics
Its all over the time has come
We laugh, we cried, we had some fun
But now as we go our separate ways
Did anything matter anyway
Four years of trust just to say
The cig is out in the ashtray
Leaving you with out delay
Chorus:
You let me down, down, down
Won't see you around, round, round
You lived a lie for everyone
No one mattered in the long run
But you never cared for me
Ya ditched us I should have seen
But that the way it works ya see
People come and then they leave
Real friends a rare commodity
Chorus:
You let me down, down, down x2
In the night
I doubt myself
Bout how you leave with no regrets
Cause you are caught up in what matters less
Chorus:
You let me down, down, down x4

A punk rock odyssey. Lively, colorful, and explosive. Thought the fuzzed guitars, frenzied screams, and overdriven drums lies an earnest expression of sexuality. Jake and The Nowhere
